If you are close to your recertification deadline, read my guide on how to quickly earn PDUs for renewal.

These are detailed in the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Handbook, so it’s worth getting a copy of that from the PMI website. The tables below shows the different number of PDUs required for each certificate. The PDUs for every certification need to be made up of education undertaken in specific areas. If you hold a CAPM® certificate, you need to earn 15 PDUs every three years. If you hold a PMI-ACP ®, PMI-RMP ®, PMI-SP ® certification, you need to earn 30 PDUs in a three-year cycle. That can be timed as 20 PDUs every year or 60 PDUs in the last 3 months of the three year cycle as you panic and try to get them all in before your certification expires. If you hold a PMP ®, PgMP ®, PfMP ® or PMI-PBA ® certification, you need to earn 60 PDUs every three years. You can claim them in 15 minute chunks if you spend part of an hour on professional development. They are a measure of how much professional, continuous learning you have done.

Important: you cannot enter free text information in the mobile version of the CCRS, therefore you need to use the desktop web site to enter credits earned during an agile42 training. Since agile42 is not a PMI Registered Education Provider (REP), you will have to manually write in our name when applying for credits. You have to apply for your own credits through the PMI CCRS (Continuous Certification Requirement System). This also builds up to the required 21 contact hours necessary to qualify as a candidate for the PMI-ACP test. This allows you to claim PDUs which cover all five process areas and all nine knowledge areas of the PMBOK on PMI’s website.
